Today, I am blogging about wedding that I went as a second shooter with my friend Ashley Barden. We had so much fun, it was like a girl’s get away to the beach.

On May 7th, Kyla and Chad tied the knot in a very beautiful, joyful and fun celebration at the beach in Mexico. It was a beautiful sunny day. The guests wore hats, sun glasses and colorful dresses… Every detail was perfect!

Ashley and I got to the hotel around 11AM and our room was not ready. A quick change in the lobby restroom and we went straight to the bridal suite! I have never seen a bride so relaxed, beautiful and happy! I helped Ashley with the details capturing her stunning gown (OMG her dress!!!), getting shots of the girls as they got ready, the bridesmaids toast and then I was off to the groom’s suite.

What a fun group! One of the groomsmen left his jacket at the swimming pool bar, and the other groomsmen made so much fun of him until he finally figured it out. I could not stop laughing. He had to pay a “Mojito” to the guy who found the vest and was wearing it! haha

Chad was so focused, he didn’t want to forget anything: the vows, ring, and her gift… it was so cute to watch him burst with excitement to marry the love of his life.

Next, it was the first look… they looked lovingly at each other. You could feel the happiness and admiration… they were so content and ready to get married!

The ceremony was so romantic and joyful, exactly the way that they dreamed. Having their family, friends and the ocean as witnesses, they said I do. They kissed. They celebrated!

Portraits at the beach with Kyla and Chad was a photographer’s dream! So beautiful. I can’t deny that I was thinking about how beautiful they would look on my website! 🙂

Finally, the party. They threw an amazing party, they had fun and the guests were treated with a delicious dinner and mouth-watering deserts! It was such a fun party, the paramedics had to be called not once, but twice! The mother of the bride broke her arm and her sister twisted her hand. There was some concern, but in the end everyone was fine.

I owe Ashley a huge thank you for inviting me to shoot this wedding with her, as it was epic! The next day was Mother’s day. We spent it relaxing at the beach, drinking coconut water and eating mango with chili. Our kids understood we were working, and to be at the beach was the best gift we could ask for!
